Johnson County K-State Research & Extension

The K-State Johnson County Extension Office is dedicated to serving the community with a wide range of resources, including health and nutrition, agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, senior enrichment, financial management, 4-H youth development, and community vitality. Backed by Kansas State University expertise, they focus on practical problem-solving, hands-on education, and community service.

​Committed to a safe, sustainable, and competitive food and fiber system, the office strengthens families, supports youth, and promotes healthy communities through outreach, educational programs, and facilitation. Utilizing partnerships and volunteers, they deliver impactful programs tailored to the unique needs of the local community.

​Anthony Reardon is the Horticulture-Small Farms Extension agent for Johnson County K-State Extension, located in the Kansas City metro area. As an agent he assists and educates gardeners and farmers in fruit, vegetable, and specialty crop production.
