Your elected officials are debating the Farm Bill now. If they don’t pass it by September 30, 2018 many programs will lose funding, which will hurt our community. This means it’s time for advocates like you to ask your federal elected officials to protect important Farm Bill programs.
To get their attention, we’ve created two posters you can print and write in your own message about why the Farm Bill and SNAP are important to you.
- Just print the posters at the size you need, fill in the blanks and take a photo of yourself holding the sign.
- Post your photo to social media with the hashtags from the poster.
- Tag @kchealthykids and your legislators. If you’re in Kansas, tag Senator Jerry Moran, Senator Pat Roberts and Representative Kevin Yoder. In Missouri, tag Senator Claire McCaskill, Senator Roy Blunt, Congressman Emmanuel Cleaver. Find their social media handles here.
- Hang your poster in a public place and you’re done!
